Parent Workshops

An Amplify Youth Development Parent Workshop is free. Our goal is to help you help your teenager make good choices! We offer our presentations through many host organizations, including individual homes. Typically, presentations have been held at:
  • Community club meetings
  • Schools
  • Churches
  • Libraries
  • Homes
  • Offices
Most presentations last two hours and include an opportunity for you to ask your own questions. All attendees receive a packet of information to take home to help begin (or continue) encouraging your child to practice abstinence.

What is covered in a workshop?
  • A discussion of the sexual and social realities teens are facing every day
  • Up-to-date facts about the STD epidemic in our nation
  • Information about the emotional consequences of sexual activity
  • Strategies for broaching the topic with teenagers
  • Tips for developing the kind of relationship that strengthens teens
  • Personal testimonies from an experienced parent
  • And many other valuable resources!
