Tamekeyo
Hello!

My name is Tamekeyo House, I am one of the new Educators at Amplify Youth Development and I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself!

First and foremost, I am very excited about this new chapter in my life! I know that working with Amplify Youth Development will prove to be an abundantly fruitful and positive life changing experience. I feel honored that I have become a member of this phenomenal team! Already I have had wonderful experiences here, so I'm excited as I continue to work with new students this school year!

To tell you all a little about myself, I was born and raised in Lockport, Illinois where I attended Lockport Township High School. Once I graduated high school, I attended Northern Illinois University for a few years and then transferred to Alabama A & M University where I received my Bachelors Degree in Marketing. Upon graduation, I moved to St. Louis, Missouri to work for The Boeing Company. While in St. Louis, I continued to further my education and attended Saint Louis University and Webster University to pursue advanced degrees. Finally, after six years in St. Louis, in 2007, I returned to Illinois to pursue my passion, teaching!

This summer I completed my Doctorate of Philosophy in Theology from Midwest Theological Seminary, and I am currently pursuing my Masters in Adult Education from National-Louis University. Whew! Are you still with me? Through the years I have been blessed to experience a rich, fruitful and dynamic life, so there is much to share! HOWEVER, I won't bore you with the details!

What I look forward to this school year is the many wonderful and unique students I will meet, and the diverse experiences I will encounter with them. Working with Amplify is an outlet for me. We can never get in a time machine and change our past, but we can always add to someone else's future by teaching them the lessons we have learned along the way. I am proud of this generation of students and hope to be a positive influence on their journey.

Again, I am grateful and excited for this opportunity and look forward to meeting and working with all of you! Thank you for welcoming Amplify Youth Development into your schools, and, thank you for being a part of this effort to provide students with the tools necessary to build a healthy future!
